Yarbrough Presents Village of Westchester with Funding for Emergency Operations Center

BROADVIEW, IL – State Rep. Karen Yarbrough (D-Maywood) presented officials from the Village of Westchester with a $200,000 check on Tuesday, August 25 at the 7:00 p.m. Village Board meeting.

The state funding, secured with Yarbrough’s assistance, will be used to establish and equip the Emergency Operation Center in Westchester.

“In a struggling economy, local governments need additional help to deliver the services the people depend on, and this funding for the emergency operations center in Westchester will make sure that this critical public safety resource is fully operational,” Yarbrough said.
