Yarbrough Presents Forest Park District with Funding for Expansion of Police Department

BROADVIEW, IL – State Rep. Karen Yarbrough (D-Maywood) presented Mayor Anthony Calderone and the Village of Forest Park with a $200,000 check at the Village Council Meeting on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 pm.

The state funding, secured with Yarbrough’s assistance, will be used expand the police department.

“Updating our public safety infrastructure not only makes residents safer, it puts money into our local economy and creates good-paying jobs at a time when they are truly needed,” Yarbrough said.  “Taxpayers expect that some of the money they give to support government will come back to their communities for local projects, and that’s what I will continue to make sure happens for the residents of Forest Park.”
