Yarbrough Presents Village of Bellwood with Funding for Road Improvements

BROADVIEW, IL – State Rep. Karen Yarbrough (D-Maywood) presented officials from the Village of Bellwood with a $250,000 check for infrastructure repairs on Saturday, August 1 at Bellwood's Annual Family Day Picnic at Stevenson Park.

The state funding, secured with Yarbrough’s assistance, will be used for street paving throughout Bellwood.

"It has been more than 10 years since a major capital infrastructure plan has been put in place in Illinois, and that long delay is evident by the number of crumbling streets in our cities and villages,” Yarbrough said.  “Many communities across the state are long overdue for basic infrastructure improvements and this funding will help them address their needs.”
